KKP Shared HAC for Passengers at Lombok International Airport

Praya (09/02) – The Health Minister has issued a call out for  trip to Singapore. This was because the emerging cases of 41 local residents were infected by the Zika virus. Zika virus included in the line flavirus which still came from the same familly as the virus that causes dengue disease or dengue fever. Zika virus was spread to humans by infected Aedes Mosquitoes.

Following up on the instructions of Minister of Health on the matter, Lombok International Airport in Collaboration with Health Departement ports, Airports began to anticipate the Zika Virus. HAC (Health Alert Card) distribution became one of anticipation performed. By giving the Alert Card, it will make  easier to monitor the passengers suspected of being infected by Zika in addition to do screening and thermal scanners.

That afternoon SHE section together with KKP LIA went down to the field to check directly with Silk Air of Singapore. Sanitary inspection of aircraft had also became the focus of the KKP LIA this time, because the spread can be through mosquitoes. The result of sanitation airplane was all decent and the passengers indicated undiscovered Zika virus.
